Airtel, one of Uganda’s telecom companies has launched a campaign to promote local tourism.
The move comes a month after the telecom giant has launched its countrywide 4G network infrastructure.
According to Airtel’s official Facebook page, the company will be adventuring with local travel bloggers “as they soak into the beauty of our country which is the pearl of Africa”, the post reads.
The move comes amidst Uganda’s struggle to regain its tourism market which is said to have been the region’s best before Kenya took it over.
Quraish Ndugga is a tour operator in Uganda working under Muky Tours (U) Ltd. He welcomed the move saying this will greatly improve Uganda’s local tourism
