Court Oders Mukono Police to Release Food Stuffs it Impounded from Lawyer Abdallah Kiwanuka

The Chief magistrate Juliet Hatanga of Mukono has ordered the OC CID, OC Station and the DPC of Mukono Police station to release foodstuffs which were impounded with vehicle Isuzu box body to its owner Abdallah Kiwanuka Reg. No. UAK 825K.
Kiwanuka was arrested and charged with spreading a deadly disease of Covid-19 and was given bail by the same court and the chief magistrate ordered him to leave the vehicle and its belongings at police until the 6th of May 2020.
However, on 6th May 2020 Kiwanuka went to police to get his vehicle and he found all the foodstuffs were not in.
Kiwanuka was supposed to report back to court as directed by the chief magistrate and he decided to file his complain to the chief magistrate and he secured a court order to immediately be given his foodstuffs.
The court order seen by The Scribe News orders the OC CID, OC station and the DPC to release food with immediate effect.
On securing the order, Kiwanuka went to Police and served the OC station and he was given his food stuffs
However the case was not heard on grounds that the file was not in court since the DPP called all the covid19 related case files as said by the state attorney Kiconco Agnes.
He is set to return to court on the 25th June, 2020 to faces charges of spreading COVID-19 as he decided to give out food to vulnerable people during the lockdown which was against the directive of the president.
