Nansana Police are hunting for Lutwama Mark a well-known Human Activist who is being accused of promoting Homosexuality acts in Uganda.
Lutwama Mark working with Nansana Division as a Community Health officer and he is volunteering with COSF- Uganda and Minority Rainbow Shelter Uganda, these are Non-government organizations
In Uganda, the vice is illegal according to Uganda Anti-Homosexuality / Lesbianism Act 2023 of the Penal Code act
Lutwama 30 years was allegedly found with a number of 38 youths in his led-shelter organization, Minority Rainbow Shelter Uganda was searched by different security operatives in Uganda and they found 38 youths videos recorded on CD’s and laptops containing sex-videos recorded by occupants of this shelter organization who were clearly identified. All the shelter occupants were arrested and detained in yet to be identified police cell.
According to police sources, his neighbors tipped off police that there were homo-sexuality activities taking place in this house in Nansana Kampala.
The police further said that Lutwama Mark was disguising himself of fighting for the human rights of these 38 occupants in his led-shelter.
He was summoned to appear before the OC/CID on the 21st /Aug/2024 at 4:00 Pm but he never appeared.
On 22/Aug/2024, the Nabweru Magistrate Court issued an arrest order against Lutwama.
The court ordered for his arrest by the Nansana Police, so he could be charged with counts of homosexuality acts up to date, Ugandan authorities are still on hunt for Lutwama in order to be brought to book.
