On behalf of the Bazzukulu and the people of Buvuma district, I am here to convey our gratitude for your support of a modern MV Palm ferry with a carriage capability of 519 passengers and 25 vehicles for a trip.
We are are mainly engaged in fishing as our economic activity and crop farming.
Transportation has always been a challenge limiting the flow of opportunities between the Island of Buvuma and other parts of Uganda.
I see a wide door if investments opened up with this ease in transportation. Our sales for agricultural products are expected to surge with more ventures into the leisure and hospitality sector.
Now, we can transport our produce to Mukono, Owino in Kampala, and elsewhere without the worry of missing out to sail to the Island due to a large number of passengers.
My prayer is that you visit us and see the great development ongoing on the Island and for Jesus Christ to grant you a long life.
ON 27/5/2023, is a day to commemorate every year in Buvuma district.
