The speaker of Uganda Parliament, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga was rushed to hospital last evening Thursday 21 March in a critical condition.
Events come a few days after a witchdoctor Damian Akuze had withdrawn a court case in which he alleged that Hon. Kadaga refused to pay for “consultancy services” he gave her in 1990 under the conditions through which Akuze alleged she has been able to protect her political powers.
Akule later withdrew the case after citing threats from Kadaga’s supporters. He had petioned the High court in Jinja through Mangeni and company advocates claiming for over 200 million Uganda shillings.
Kadaga and the parliament of Uganda however denied her consulting a witchdoctor for political gains.
The press secretary in the office of the Speaker, Sam Obbo has issued a statement about the health condition of Kadaga calling it “Fatigue related illness”.
“ She was admitted soon after her return from a hectic working tour to Morocco and the United States of America” Obbo says in a statement.
Obbo reveals that Kadaga is admitted at Nakasero Hospital and calls for respect on her privacy.
Recently before the witchdoctor withdrew the court petition, Godfrey Mutabazi, the executive director of the Uganda communication in a bid to save Hon. Kadaga ordered the daily monitor to pull down its online news website for failing to contact Kadaga for her side of the story.
President Yoweri Museveni rushed to Nakasero hospital where the speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga is admitted apparently in critical condition.
Museveni who was on the way to State House Nakasero was informed on Kadaga’s health condition, prompting him to switch convoy route and dash to the facility.
Kadaga was bound to be flown out for further medical attention this morning, but Museveni’s visit could have caused a delay.
