The traditional leader of the Abanyala Tribe Rtd Major Baker Kimeze has urged all Ugandans to keep safe during the Festive holidays
He was delivering his Christmas Message to the People of Kayunga District and the Country at large in a meeting held at his home found in Kyerima sub-County Kayunga District on Saturday.
Kimeze said that during Christmas season when the whole world is celebrating the birth of Jesus, many youths get involved in celebrations most especially entertainment activities and some goes to clubs and drink alcohol which he said is very dangerous not only to their lives but sometimes it can also lead to other problems including accidents and imprisonment.
He further urged the leaders in the central government to work together with his kingdom in order to develop the people of Kayunga.
Kimeze also urged the Banyala to get involved in Government programs such as PDM, Emyoga and others to lift themselves from Poverty which is still the challenge in their locality
He added that the Kingdom will continue to uplift the youth through their talents and further educate them in the spirit of patriotism so that they can have a strong foundation in the future and counties that make up the Kingdom of Bunyala.
These include Galiraya, Bbaale, Kayonza, Kitimbwa Town Council, Kitimbwa Subcounty, Kayunga Sub County, Kayunga Town Council, Busaana Town Council, Busaana Sub County, Nazigo Sub County, Nazigo Town Council, Kangulumira Sub County and Buyende including Kidera Town Council, Kidera Sub County, Bukungu and other areas.
However, the Minister for Information in the Kingdom Kaddu Derrick Mbojjana said the people of Bunyala are happy with the Ssabanyala’s Christmas and a New Year message, and promised to ensure that all the initiatives mentioned by the Ssabanyala are implemented in the coming year 2024
