Panic in Kayunga district as COVID-19 Dead body is being Buried
According to the District Health Officer Kayunga District, Dr. Ahmed Matovu – “the COVID-19 corps is identified as Musa Musisi Ssalongo of Kiyuya Wampologama in Busaana sub county at the home of the late Obara. He’s been staying in Juba for over 10years & the body was brought to back to his ancestral home for burial.”
A technical team in managing such situations from KCCA joined Kayunga Covid-19 team for a thorough arrangement.
The KCCA COVID 19 burial team arrived at 10am to lead the burial today at Kiyuya village- Wampologama Busaana Sub County.The Disinfecting from Kayunga District lead by Musawo Mugalazi Martin from Kayunga Main Hospital as completed the work very well the whole place is now safe.

“But this leaves many questions to Kayunga natives whether the SOPs were followed more so when the President noted that any Covid-19 related dead body’s SHOULD NEVER BE TRANSPORTED FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER.” RDC Kayunga Margret Violet Mwanamwoiza Kikomeko cautions the residents to be more vigilant & follow the SOPs.

Meanwhile, here in Kiyuya the family members have refused to accept that the late died of COVID-19 and they revealed that they will excavate the body after it’s buried. A lot of sensitization to the family is needed.
The driver together with the two ladies who escorted the body each has a child aged one and two years. The other person in the truck is the driver and all the people in the truck will be quarantined for 14 days.
