The Office of the National Chairman of the NRM (ONC)-Kyambogo, headed by Hajjat Hadijjah Namyalo , hosted religious leaders, political figures, and Bazzukulu at the ONC head offices in prayers for H.E President Yoweri Museveni who is recovering from mild COVID-19.
People from all walks of life made their way to ONC-Office to send prayers for President’s quick recovery.
The President tested positive for Covid-19 and the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Health Dr. Daina Atwine publicized his results to Ugandans and the world.
The President isolated himself at Nakasero State House where he is undergoing treatment and strongly sharing his experience with the Bazzukulu and Ugandans through his write-ups on social media spaces.
Several inter-religious leaders gathered at the Office of the National Chairman in Kyambogo to take part in a praying session for the health of the President “Jajja” and these included; Rev. Canon Dr. Rebecca Nyegenye, Rev. Jadper Oluge, Bishop Ian Gumisiza Jeremiah, Sheikh Mohammad Waiswa(Deputy Muft-2), Sheikh Hamid Sserwadda Busungu-Regional Ass. Mufti-Kampala, Rev. Fr. John Kibuka Bossa-Vicar General -Uganda Orthodox Church Kampala Holy Archdiocese, Sheikh Sulaiman Gugwa; Chairman Imam’s Council of Uganda-Deputy Ambassador Saudi Arabia, Rev. Daniel Token Wajuli- Specialist spirituality & mindset Change.
The prayer was also joined by Mr. Shadrack Nzeire- (President Yoweri Museveni’s brother) and Gaddafi Nasur, (NRM National Youth Chairperson) as they offered prayers to the Almighty for the President’s quick recovery.
ONC Boss SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye in her remarks, appreciated the Clergy for accepting to lead the Bazzukulu and Ugandans in prayers for God’s healing and restoration of the Head of State’s health. She added that this has expressed a strong spirit of unity and the Bazzukulu are to continue with prayers until the President “Jajja” is wholly restored and back to physical engagement with them and Ugandans.
She advised the Bazzukulu and Ugandans to ignore bad-hearted people who are misusing social media to spread falsehoods about the President’s health. She added we must pray for those wrong elements for God’s deliverance of their hearts from the possession of the devil.
“Almighty One, You are our Great Healer. You heal us from physical ailments and emotional wounds. As Bazzukulu, we come to you, Lord, asking that Your healing hand be upon our ailing Jajja.
