Ronicah Nagujja is  wanted by Uganda Authorities over Lesbianism Acts

Uganda Police are  hunting for Ronicah Nagujja Zziwa, a woman who is being accused of Lesbianism acts in Luwero District
In Uganda, the vice is illegal according to Uganda Anti-Homosexuality/Lesbianism Act 2014 of the Penal Code.
Nagujja, 44 was on 5th November, 2017 arrested after she was found red handed making love to a fellow woman in Luwero district.  She was charged with homosexuality offences.
Fortunately, the 44 year old mother of five was on 7th November, 2017 given a non cash police bond and ordered to appear before the OC/CID at Kavule Police Station on 24th November, 2017.
However, Nagujja never reported back to Police to honour her bond conditions and she has been on a run since then.
On 8th February, 2018, the Luwero Chief Magistrate’s Court issued an arrest order against Nagujja. The Court directed police to arrest and produce her before Chief Magistrate H. Musoke so that she could be charged with counts of homosexuality/ Lesbian acts.
On the same date, ASP Badiru Kasule, the then Luwero Savana Regional Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) head also ordered the OC/CID of Kavule Police Station to arrest Nagujja, who had been released on bond on 7th November, 2017.
“She was supposed to report back on 24 November, 2017 at 9:00am at your police station which she has not done,” Kasule said.
“She is wanted in courts of law to answer charges pressed against her.”
Up to date, Ugandan authorities are still on hunt for Nagujja in order to be brought to book.
Nagujja’s ex-husband who preferred anonymity due of the sensitivity of the matter, told this news website that he got to know that the former was homosexual in early 2016 and he had to call it quits.
This came after the Husband pressed  CCTV Cameras all over the house and found out that his wife had a female partner she was in love with, and then he called for a family meeting which sat and advised the man to call off the marriage immediately.
“One day I checked into her phone and landed on love messages between her and a fellow woman. It was so heartbreaking,” he disclosed.
He added that he last saw her in mid 2017 during a family reunion in his village. He revealed that after their separation, Nagujja was always pestering him that she was missing her our kids and that she wanted to see them again.
“I told her to come for my family reunion in the village if she wanted to see the kids. She came and that was the last time I saw her,” Nagujja’s ex-husband said.
“The decision to leave her was painful since I loved her so much but I had nothing to do. I couldn’t stay with an evil person. She confessed right in my face that over the years she had grown love for fellow women and men were no longer her thing,” he further recalled.
He added that if the authorities are hunting her, she should be arrested and answer the criminal charges pressed on her because she also turned to be a nuisance in our family.
Nagujja’s younger sister (also preferred anonymity) says her sibling has been missing for over four years and she is not sure whether she is still alive.
” Nagujja has been missing since 2018.Its now 2022.No phone calls no what. I don’t know where she is. I don’t have any knowledge about the homosexuality allegations against her because for the years I stayed with her, I never say her behaving in any suspicious way as far as those things are concerned.”
