Seven Year old Child in Mukono Commits Sucide while Imitating a Movie

Shock by the death of a 7 year old kid Waderu Derrick after imitating a movie he had just watched with his brother engulfed residents of Nantabilrwa in Goma Division found in Mukono Municipalit .

It’s alleged that Derrick used a shoe race which he tied on double decker bed and this is where his brother found him hanging when is already dead.

The mother of the deceased Tumwekwase, Hannah says that after taking lunch, she order him (deceased) to mop the house and in a few minutes he was nowhere to be seen and they started searching for him, suddenly he was found by his brother  hanging on the bed and they rushed him to nearby clinic where he was pronounced dead.

The residents condemned parents for mismanagement of children to the extent of showing them movies which are risky to their lives.

Mawuma Fatuma a leader on this village asked all parents to be very kin to their children and not to leave the children with TVs and movies which may be risk to their children and they require parental guidance.

While addressing the residents, the local village Chairperson Mpaata Patrick asked parents to be more vigilant on child protection and to always be careful with what children watch. He also reminded the residents to be careful on the covid19 measures.

Police from Seeta station came and took the body for postmortem.
