The Vicar of Sts Phillips and Andrew’s Cathedral of Mukono Diocese, Rev Edward Muyomba Ssenyonga has urged youths to stop wearing distracting clothes while walking on streets, which he said that will bring them unexpected problems.
He was speaking this at St. Andrew Mavunikire Church of Uganda Kabembe, Kiyunga Parish in Bukoba Archdeaconry during the Youth and Holiday Makers Conference for the children who have been on vacation.
Muyomba said that, now days youth most especially girls put on light and short clothes which attracts men to snatch them and sometimes they end up being raped.
“Please be God fearing children, dress appropriately so that you will avoid problems that can fall you into the traps of Satan” Rev Muyomba added.
Meanwhile, The minister of Mavunikire Church Ord .Kaddu Derrick Mbojjana explained the purpose of training saying that every child has to be obedient both to his or her parents and other elders of the community where they reside.
The leaders of the youth in this church led by Aaron Gambwa and Ashaba Aaron, said the move is to help the youth develop their minds, especially those who are going back to school and other speakers were Ord Partison Kamugisha from Uganda Christian University and Brian James Ntwatwa the Founder of Incredible Youth International.
