WHY ROGERS BULEGEYA STANDS OUT AMONG YOUNG PERFORMING NRM CHAIRPERSONS IN UGANDA

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni held a memorial and historical rally at Masaka Liberation Square on Monday 22, 2025 with standing ovation from his supporters. After the well organized rally orchestrated by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat Masaka City led by Mr. Rogers Bulegeya, what makes the headline are the faces critically that stood the taste to organize the rally.
For Clarity, President Museveni reached at Masaka Liberation Square at 1: 08pm and was welcomed by the area National Resistance Movement flag bearers led by Hon. Justine Nameere also the aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Masaka City and the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among also the Bukedea Woman Member of Parliament and Hajji Moses Kigongo.
On the face of it, Mr. Rogers Bulegeya’s also the newly appointed Presidential Assistant Presidential Advisor’s journey of service reflects rare consistency and devotion to both party and people.
For close to two decades, he has stood firmly in the trenches of grassroots youth mobilisation within NRM structures, guiding young people with discipline, purpose, and patriotism, and proving that true leadership is built through service, not convenience mostly in Buganda Region.
As a trained paralegal and seasoned mobiliser, Rogers Bulegeya has blended legal awareness, civic responsibility, and political organization to empower communities across Greater Masaka. His leadership has nurtured informed, organized, and self-reliant youth who understand their role in strengthening democracy and national stability.
 Bulegeya’s commitment to youth economic empowerment has transformed mobilization into opportunity. By rallying young people into self-help entrepreneurial projects, SACCOs, and skilling initiatives, he has given practical meaning to wealth creation and shown that development begins with organized, productive youth.
 Beyond party structures, Rogers Bulegeya has demonstrated a deep humanitarian spirit through his service to the Catholic Church and community outreach in Greater Masaka. His faith-inspired compassion has uplifted the vulnerable and reinforced the values of unity, service, and love for neighbour.
On December 13th 2025, he met the NRM party LC1 and LC11 Chairpersons and mobilised them to remain ardent in supporting the ruling president Museveni.
Additionally, he pulled off his socks with youth chairperson Mr. Numba Katumba and advised the youth assembly at NRM SECRETARIAT in Masaka City to remain visionary, patriotic and united as they exercise Pan Africanism in their day today affairs in order to succeed in life.
 His service as a Youth Councillor in Masaka City reflected a leader grounded in local governance and accountability. Rogers Bulegeya has consistently amplified youth voices, advocated for order and development, and ensured that leadership remains accessible to the people at the grassroots.
As Chairperson of the Board for the Greater Masaka Presidential Skilling Hub, Rogers Bulegeya has played a strategic role in translating the President’s vision for skills development into tangible impact. His stewardship continues to prepare young Ugandans for employment, innovation, and self-reliance.
In his capacity as Chairman NRM Masaka City, Rogers Bulegeya has strengthened party unity, discipline, and mobilisation through formation of pressure groups among youth and being the Patron of NRM MEDIA SECRETARIATE in Masaka City that promotes the NRM party interests and President Museveni all gives him standing ovation among performing NRM Party chairmen. His leadership has consolidated support structures, inspired confidence among cadres, and reinforced Masaka City’s position as a strong pillar of the movement.
The recent appreciation by His Excellency the President and the appointment of Rogers Bulegeya as Presidential Assistant for National Mobilisation stands as a deserved recognition of years of loyal, tireless service. It affirms that dedication to the people, the party, and the nation does not go unnoticed, and it inspires Greater Masaka as we rally behind the President during his visit on the 22nd at Masaka Liberation Square.
