Youth Leadership Shines in Masaka City as Black Fam Foundation Extends Compassion To ‘Under-privileged’ Families

Masaka City, Uganda – In a heartwarming display of compassion and community spirit, the Black FAM Foundation, led by former Masaka Secondary School student David Lordin, has embarked on a mission to support families struggling with poverty and depression in Masaka City.

The foundation, comprised of young and passionate individuals, has been distributing food and essential items such as maize flour, soap, cooking oil, and clothes to families in need. Their efforts have brought hope and relief to many, and their selfless acts have earned them praise and gratitude from the community.

It is always good to give back to the community

“It is a golden opportunity to see people’s hope revived, and as the foundation, Black FAM, we hope to change the lives of people through extending our compassion and love, starting from our personal savings,” said Rordin David, founder of the Black FAM Foundation. “It is always good to give back to the community.”

The foundation’s efforts have also been recognized by the Global Compassion Coalition (GCC), a non-governmental organization based in the United States. The GCC has been working to promote compassion and kindness worldwide, and their vision aligns with that of the Black FAM Foundation.

During a recent Zoom meeting celebrating World Compassion Day, celebrated compassion teacher and author Mrs. Kathryn LoveWell emphasized the importance of extending compassion to others. “Men and women, young boys and girls should remain compassionate about their community members by extending help in form of finances, education, and extending material things,” she said.

The Black FAM Foundation is committed to continuing its mission to support needy families in Masaka City and beyond. They have appealed to fellow youth, successful businessmen and women, and the government to support their initiative and join them in making a positive impact in their community.

As Rordin David aptly put it, “It is always good to give back to the community. I appeal to fellow colleagues, especially youth within the country, who have succeeded well in their businesses to turn back to the community as a way of showing responsible character of a well-grown-up youth.”
