Healthcare Repair? Charitable Renovation Boosts Healthcare service in Lyatonde

Lyatonde District — In a heartening display of dedication to community health, Hon. Kabarongo, an aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Lyatonde, has taken a significant step to improve healthcare services in the district. She recently donated funds and materials to renovate the dilapidated Kaliiro Health Centre III, turning it into a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming facility for residents.

The health centre, which had long suffered from leaking roofs due to rusty iron sheets and overall disrepair, was in dire need of refurbishment. Thanks to Hon. Kabarongo’s generous contribution of paint and iron sheets, the facility is now undergoing much-needed renovations that promise to enhance patient comfort and safety.

Community members expressed their heartfelt gratitude for Hon. Kabarongo’s support. “People like Hon. Kabarongo deserve bigger positions because they understand the struggles of ordinary people,” said Natukunda Hellen, a patient at the centre. David Nkojo, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), praised Hon. Kabarongo’s initiative, highlighting its importance ahead of the upcoming Heroes’ Day celebrations on June 9th. “Her efforts are commendable, especially as we prepare for the national event where President Museveni will lay a monument in honor of our heroes,” Nkojo remarked. He emphasized that the renovation would ensure the health centre is a fitting tribute to Uganda’s heroes and a symbol of community progress.

The timely upgrade of Kaliiro Health Centre III is expected to have a lasting impact on healthcare delivery in Lyatonde.
