Meet Robert Assimwe The NRM Candidate Vying For Kimanya Kabonera MP Seat

The Masaka City aspiring Member of Parliament for Kimanya Kabonera Constituency, Mr. Robert Assimwe, 47 -years-old has promised to work effectively for the people of Masaka City, if elected well as the area Member of Parliament to cub poverty and expand their welfare.
Mr. Robert Assimwe was nominated as the frag bearer for Kimanya Kabonera to lead National Resistance Movenment (NRM) and he contested in the past 2021 general elections too.
Mr. Assimwe made the remarks on Friday while addressing hundered of the locals in Masaka City in Kimanya Kabonera Consituency and promised to work for the youth, and women groups in order to curb poverty in the area.
Mr. Assimwe said; he has already connected with president Museveni and they’re willing to work for the people of Masaka City.
Mr. Assimwe Robert is also a commercial farmer as well as the proprietor for Kingo Parents Secondary.
Mr. Assimwe Robert was born in September 1972 to Andrew Tumwine and Irene Tumwine residents of Bwambala Village in Rukungiri Diistrict. and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Cavendish University in 199.
Mr. Assimwe is a PHD holder in Business Management attained from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa.
Married to Enid Kembabazi who they have produced three children, Assimwe is a resident of Kasango Village Kabonera Sub-County in Masaka City.
In 1999, Assimwe worked as an operative in the special police force a program initiated by President Museveni.
During 2021 general elections, Mr. Assimwe said he had high hopes in extending water reservoirs to the locals in Kingo because they normally travel 4 kilometers to fetch clean water and has worked for Buganda Kingdom and clearing the roads that takes the King Ronald Mutebi (11) people into Nkoni Palace and hopes to cater for them when elected area Member of Parliament.
He is an educationalist as well as the Director of Kingo Parents Secondary School and owns a permanent residence in Kimanya Kabonera and is also a business man dealing in fishing, realeaste business and hotel management.
“The only challenge I faced as a person in the past elections is that I have been working for people who are only selfish and they never wanted to support me for my work and efforts,” he said.
Mr. Assimwe said he distributed several resources to the people of Masaka City and he made efforts in giving out seedlings, coffee and other resources which made him expect votes but at the end he was unable to win the elections,” he said.
He has fostered relationship with the ru;ing government and he believes that the work he has done before makes him an incredible leader whom they could trust with their votes in parliament.
Mr. Assimwe competed for the Kimanya Kabonera Consitituency and made several efforts in recruiting instrumental leaders within the National Resistance Movenment that made him aspire for more votes.
In 2021, Mr. Assimwe made several efforts by unting all people of Masaka City, and supported women groups and youth groups.
“I have been able to work intermitedly for the people. The  challenge is that when they vote they send leaders that don’t support President Museveni. I wholly reach and have connections to work for President Museveni,” Mr. Assimwe said.
Mr. Assimwe Robert, wholly clad in Yellow Shirt with a backed up group of youth  and Mr. Hamidu Bukenya as the elections compaign agent said if he is elected as the area Member of Parliament for Kimanya-Kabonera Consitituency, he will be able to distribute funds and resources such as Chicken, Pigs and others for youth and community emancipation.
“I hope with the efforts exerted by the people of Kimanya Kabonera, I will be able to work effectively for the people and I am holding alot of connections and mutual understanding with President Museveni,” he added.
According to Mr. Assimwe, he made efforts in curbing poverty and has been an instrumental figure and pillar of ensuring that the area attains developmental programs and has adviced people to get funds from government iniciated programs such as Emyoga and Parish Development Module.
Mr. Assimwe said, he has fostered several programs of giving out tents and chairs for the people of Kimanya Kabonera Constituency especially the area Chairpersons and their 30 elected local leaders.
In addition, Mr. Assimwe said, if he is elected to represent the people in the thirteenth parliament, he will be able to work effectively in uniting the National Resistance Movenment People (NRM) and other local leaders.
“I believe what is being asked of me could have been full-filled by the people of Kimanya Kabonera Constituency and their past elected leader. They made a poor choice so I am trying to full-fill what I can as a leader using my little earnings and resources yet I am not in Parliament,” said Mr. Assimwe.
He contributed shs:300,000 to village chairperson committee leaders and made several efforts in rallying for six villages that are indebted to Kimanya Kabonera Constituency thus far.
Mr. Assimwe said the ruling government under President Museveni has united people and they have benefited a lot in the governmental instructed programs and 2021 elections all National Resistance Movement voters must vote for leaders affiliated to the party and President Museveni.
“Let us be united as a single unity. Let us vote for President Museveni and also let us ensure that the leaders we send to President Museveni are wholly elected leaders whom the president could work with and develop their areas which they represent,” said Mr. Assimwe.
