The Resident City Commissioner Northern Division Mbale City Were Yahya has warned the youth who are involved in charitable activities not to miss use the donations from Arab countries for their intended purposes.
He urged them to fulfill their rightful tasks and ensure that funds are utilized in a transparent and accountable manner, for example, construction of mosques, boreholes, and taking care of the needy people from different areas.
On the same note, he warned those who misuse donations that they shall face the full force of the law and serve punishments of fraud and swindling of donations.
He added that the misuse of charity funds not only betrays the trust of donors but also tarnishes the image of the country.
“So it is our collective responsibility to safeguard the integrity of charitable activities and maintain the trust of our international partners for a brighter tomorrow” Were added.
He called upon all leaders to join in promoting responsible charity fund management to make a positive impact and maintain the trust of donors and international partners.
He also used the same opportunity to appreciate H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the tremendous work of fighting corruption in Uganda and requested Ugandans to vote him come 2026 since he has done wonders in the Republic of Uganda
