The hotel business is predominately one of the most booming and ever-lasting sources of income generation on the African continent if any business merchant is willing to make a profitable source of investment.
Locally and internationally, it has paid-off dividends to the owners raising wholesome profits and the flag of the tourism sector higher.
Despite the demand for high-class services preferred by clients regularly especially in Uganda; the hotel business requires capital in form of knowledge, expertise and financial investment accompanied by rigorous monitoring and evaluation of expenditure and earnings including paying taxes to the regulated body in Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) thus far.
As the cities grow with the influence of people and their resettlement from rural into urban centers; the demand curve for good services offered to clients by hotels always occur and the pressure to deliver according to clients expectations rose to owners of such facilities in Masaka City whose faces have been unmasked.
Zebra Hotel owner (Benon Mugarura)
Under the proprietorship of civil engineer in Benon Mugarura, also the Chairman China-Africa Friendship Association Uganda (CAFAU) founded in 2012 to promote business and trade between Africans and Chinese; the hotel has predominantly attracted foreign market due to its tranquil environment and rooms accomodated for the guests at the centre of Kizungu suburbs besides Kalinabiri Primary School in Masaka City.

Mugarura’s hotel became a 24 bedroomed lodging house in 2004; he was able to charge from shs.50000, 100,000 and shs: 500,000 currently.
With the exceptional supervisory role played by wife Hellen Mugarura, it is a home of corporate companies and offers ample space for conferences and Non-government organizational training and on average, Mugarura receives over 50 guests each day.
These utilize different services at the hotel. The local population prefers mainly the health club and they carry out physical exercises in the gym and sauna bath at Shs :7000 and shs:10000 respectively.
The facility boosts the delicacy of foods both locally and internationally at the prices of shs:20000 to shs: 35000 and it is affordable to all the clients.
The hotel’s ambient view and traditional way of reserving culture which the owner Mugarura describes as an achievement based on hard work and ability to cooperate with business fraternity and the ruling government under President Museveni has compelled the hotel facility thus far.

Under the watchful eye and ownership of business magnet Jamil Ssempiija; the glass-thatched and flat-topped hotel has attracted thousands of investors from European countries in the centre of Masaka City.

Hotel Next owner (Sotius Ssegawa)
Mr. Sotius Ssegawa also a renowned electrician and the owner of Segken Services Limited owns a hospitable place in Hotel Next whose services in offering accommodation and palpable foods at the restaurant have been remarkably held with high regards in Masaka City along Soweto Sub-parish.

It has slightly been a meeting hub for corporate companies and government officials preferred resting place thus far.
Ssegawa’s Hotel Next arguably remains one of the highly attended hotels in the region due to its cleanness and accommodative ample space for both family, couple and single designed rooms for the guests.

Prince Flugensio Jjuuko, also the founder of Community Integrated Development Initiative (CIDI) dealing in consultancy work in extending water, agriculture and health programs in the country is married to wife Racheal Namirembe Jjuuko whom they produced eight children.

The Garden Courts Hotel owner; Dr. Flugensio boosted with twelve well-designed overflow cottages and the restaurant accommodating over 100 people and three open bars which has made him one of most enterprising hotel owners in the country.

Mr. Jjuuko is a qualified veterinary doctor from Makerere University whose hotel facility turned from the bush house into a Hotel granced up by the kabaka of Buganda Kingdom Ronald Mutebi (11) in 2012.
Vienna Hotel owner (John Magala)
Mr. John Magala is one the few silent business merchants in Masaka City who has maintained his status in managing Vienna Hotel from a humble background and opened it up in December in 2004.

Magala started off with thirty six guest rooms under Vienna Guest house and today boosted with a lucrative business franchise in Vienna Golden hotel.
As the hotel facility; Vienna Golden Hotel accommodates over 300 to 500 seaters conference room which is befittingly enough for organising wedding events, ceremonial and educational retreats from Non-government aided organisations.
Mr. Magala has championed the tourism sector by erecting a multi-billion Vienna Golden Hotel under the management of Mrs. Jane Nankinga whom she has fathered and mentored through son in law Brian Ssekiwunga in managing the hotel entirely.

Hajjat Sarah Kiyimba is one of the few enterprising women in Uganda who has developed slowly from a humble background into owning Hotel Brovad in Masaka City. Kiyimba’s hotel business franchise has grown from nuts to grace following her down to earth personality and eagerness to work and develop with the community through involving local laborers and family in managing the hotel facility thus far.
Hajjat Sarah Kiyimba is one of the few enterprising women in Uganda who has developed slowly from a humble background into owning Hotel Brovad in Masaka City. Kiyimba’s hotel business franchise has grown from nuts to grace following her down to earth personality and eagerness to work and develop with the community through involving local laborers and family in managing the hotel facility thus far.
As for clarity, Hajjat Kiyimba has achieved her dream of becoming the formidable face of successful women thereby championing hotel business growth and remains also the only woman in hotel management and ownership in Masaka City.

Under the ownership of Honorable Haruna Kasolo also the Minister of Micro-finance; the flat-topped hotel has attracted thousands along Masaka, Kyotera road with ambient space and conference room for weddings.
