ISO’s Fred Mulumba and Prisons’ Natwalume join Luuka politics

Mr. Fred Mulumba, a Senior Internal Security Organization (ISO) officer on Saturday campaigned for Ms. Namutumba Resty Kawowo, who is eyeing the Luuka District Woman Member of Parliament seat in the forthcoming General elections. 

Mr. Mulumba who was in the company of Commissioner of Uganda Prisons, SP Natwalume Henry drummed up support for Ms. Kawowo where he thanked the people of Luuka for loving their “daughter” and asked them to support her political endeavors. 

“I’m not a politician but I’m here to thank you for loving Kawowo,” he said during an event held in Kigunga village,Kyanvuma town council, Luuka District. 

Ms. Kawowo is currently the youth Councillor for Luuka District. 

Mr. Mulumba also went ahead to donate Shs3 million to NBS FM Fans Development Group. 

Meanwhile, the race for Luuka District Woman MP seat is already heated up with several politicians expressing interest in the post ahead of the 2026 general elections. 

The seat is currently occupied by former Minister for Presidency, Esther Mbayo.
