Know your Candidate for Mukono district leadership come 2021 General Elections-Rev. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa

Rev. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa will contest for Mukono district chairmanship in coming general elections on Democratic Party ticket (DP) after he left NRM officially.

Bakaluba is one of the potential candidate for Mukono district chairmanship in coming general elections, previously he has served in various political position in Mukono district under NRM political party which afterwards he denounced and joined the opposition.

Bakaluba is a businessman in Mukono district and surrounding districts, he has a chain of schools both primary and secondary.

He was once a member of parliament for Mukono North for one and half term and lost it to Hon. Betty Nambooze Bakireke in a by-election  after that defeat he decided to contest in Mukono south in 2011 general elections and served for one term and lost it to Hon. Johnson Muyanja Ssenyonga in 2016 general elections.

In all those general elections he was contesting on National Resistance Movement Party but currently he decided to join the opposition mainly Democratic Party (DP) and he was officially given party card as a member last year.

Bakaluba is a reverend and also a journalist who worked on Radio Uganda by then and Radio Simba and afterwards he decided to join active politics up to now.

Strength of Bakaluba

• He is a good mobilizer when it comes to politics
• He is very good in addressing a politic rallies plus door to door campaigns
• He is able to fund his own campaign expenses

Weaknesses of Bakaluba

• Some voters may not trust him because of moving from political party to another
• He is not good in maintaining his political position after winning
