Nakisunga Sub County Chairperson Cited in Witchcraft, Extortion Remanded
Tadeo Muinda the Mukono Grade I Magistrate has remanded the Nakisunga LC3 Chairperson Mubrak Ssekikubo and four others on charges of theft and malicious damage.
Other officials are Robinson Wampona, the Namuyenje LC I Chairperson, William Bisaso defense secretary, Bbosa Keeya secretary for information and Gerald Ssemaganda a resident.

These were reported by Justine Nakasujja at Mukono police division for mobilizing mob against her before expelling her from the village.
The officials formed gangs of youths who moves from one village to another during night hours stoning people’s houses doors and roof tops disguising as spirits(juju).
In the morning hours when residents report to them about the matter, they convince them to solicits money close to UGX5 million to facilitate a witchdoctor whom he invites to stop the tragedy and also cleanse the community.

Surprisingly, after cleansing a certain village, spirits get spotted in another village.
After Nakasujja’s neighbour losing a child, Ssekikubo together with the Namuyenje LCI chairperson Robinson Wampona convinced her to believe that it died as a result of witchcraft.
Ssekikubo forced Nakasujja to apologize for bringing juju that kills people, raise UGX3 million for a witch to cleanse her home and village.
Failing to adhere to local leader’s demand, officials decided to destroy her house doors and windows before going away with her 50 hens, sheep and a goat.
The officials were arrested and released on police bond however today the magistrate has remanded them to Kauga prison until August 6, after they have pleaded not guilty before court against the accusation
