PM Nabbanja meets MPs from DR Congo, discuss strategies of strengthening relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah has assured the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that Uganda is ready to concretize relations between the two sister countries.

Nabbanja made the remarks Tuesday evening while meeting a delegation of members of Parliament from DR Congo who called on her at her office in Kampala.

The Finance Minister Matia Kasaija also told the delegation that there is a need for the two countries to increase volumes of trade so as to develop.

The delegation lauded president Yoweri Museveni for championing the good working relationship between the two countries and his efforts towards strengthening security,roads, electricity, economic development and diplomacy. They are requesting for establishment of consulates in Bunia and Arua to boost trade.

A Cross Section of Ministers and technocrats attended the meeting.
