The Presidential Assistant on National Mobilisation Mr. Rogers Bulegeya also dubbling as the National Resistance Movement Party Chairman Masaka City has advised Ghetto Youth to unite and vote President Museveni.
During an internal meeting on Thursday with the Ghetto Youth at NRM Secretariat Masaka City, Mr. Bulegeya thanked the ghetto youth and their leaders for embracing the government programs such as Parish Development Module through their Saccos.
Mr. Bulegeya advised the Ghetto youth to register with the electral commission to ensure that they’re wholly registered citizens ahead of 2026 general elections.
” The ghetto youth are increasing in number and today we have 600 registered within Masaka City under their developmental Saccos and groups and we are organizing for the election activity of their leaders in the area. Uniting them is the only way to go and ensure their safety and relevancy in the coming elections,” said Bulegeya.
Accompanied by Masaka City socialite Ashbag Kato the Ghetto youth NRM Mobiliser and the Masaka City Resident City Commissioner Ahmed Washaki, Mr. Bulegeya assured the Ghetto Youth of president Museveni’s victory.
Mr. Ahmed Washaki advised the Ghetto Youth to work in unison with the ruling government to develop and assured them to tighten their zeal in questing for President Museveni’s votes and be very assured of security in the region.
For clarity, Mr. Robert Matovu, the Ghetto youth Chairperson for Masaka City said they’re willing to support President Museveni because under his government they have been able to claim a reputation of being responsible people compared to the generation where majority of them were engaged in taking drugs such as Marijuana and Cocaine and stealing people’s property in their communities.
” We’ve grown under turf circumstances as Ghetto children and we are looking forward to reform and live purposeful life and be responsible citizens under President Museveni government. We are willing to be mentored and supported through our developmental Saccos to expand on our income generating activities” said Matovu.
