Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Starts Campaigns in West Nile, Museveni in Luwero, Amuriat in Soroti

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) presidential flag bearer of National Unity Platform (NUP), National Resistance Movement (NRM) incumbent Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni and Patrick Amuriat of Forum for Democratic Change FDC start their campaigns in areas they think are their political strongholds.

Kyagulanyi who is starting his road to State House is kicking of his campaigns in West Nile which he believes has strong support.

Arua has been chosen for its significance in propelling Bobi Wine to national popularity after he was allegedly arrested and tortured following nasty events that culminated into a fracas between the Pro- NRM supporters and those of Independent MP aspirant Kasiano Wadri

For candidate Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni of NRM will start his campaigns to retain State House in Luwero.

It has been a habit for Museveni to commence his campaigns in Luwero, where he launched his bush war in 1980 and consequently captured power in 1986.

On Monday, the incumbent will host NRM delegates in a required 70 seating capacity at his Luwero-based Kawumu demonstration farm.

He will then speak to the nation on radio and TV as a requirement in the new scientific campaigns.

Patrick Amuriat of Forum for Democratic Change will start his campaigns in Soroti which is his home region before proceeding to other parts of the country.

Security operatives in Soroti have warned Amuriat not to carry out any procession while launching his campaigns in the area.

Mugisha Muntu of Alliance for National Transformation will launch his campaigns in Kampala in which he is supposed to address only 70 people.

The presidential race has 11 candidates who are competing for State House come 2021 general elections.
