The Office of the Presidency is in mourning following the passing on of Mr. Mark Baingana, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner for Makindye Division, Kampala.
In a condolence message, the Minister for the Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, said she received the sad news “with deep sorrow and a heavy heart.” “It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I received the sad news of the passing on of one of our staff, the Deputy Resident City Commissioner for Makindye Division, Mr. Mark Baingana,” the Minister stated.
On behalf of the Office of the Presidency, her family, and on her own behalf, Hon. Babalanda extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends, colleagues in the Office of the Resident City Commissioner, and the entire people of Makindye Division.
The Minister hailed the late Deputy RCC for his service to the country.
“The late Deputy RCC served the people with dedication, discipline, and commitment to upholding peace, security, and service delivery,” she said.
Minister Babalanda prayed for strength and comfort for the family during this difficult period and for eternal rest for the departed.
“We pray to the Almighty God to grant strength and comfort to the bereaved family during this difficult time, and to grant the soul of our departed colleague eternal rest,” she added.
Quoting Psalm 34:18, the Minister said:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
