The Commissioner for the National Secretariat for Patriotic Corps (NSPC) in the Office of the President, Ms. Hellen Seku yesterday 26th June, 2024 concluded a two-week on-spot monitoring in selected schools in the Rwenzori region and Mbale district.
The monitoring was aimed at assessing the performance of patriotism clubs in schools.
During the exercise,Ms. Seku thanked the school heads and patriotism coordinators for the support they render towards the program
She also encouraged the students to stay in school, cherish education if they want to achieve their dreams
“You should value the knowledge you get in school, have discipline and avoid early sexual engagements so that you can keep your dreams alive,” she advised.
The National Secretariat for Patriotic Corps also referred to as NSPC was established in 2009 by H.E the President of Uganda. With the mandate to develop and coordinate Patriotism clubs in all post primary schools and institutions country-wide.
It is a National Strategic initiative by the President to inculcate the norms and values of patriotism to all students and the youth of Uganda. The ultimate goal of this program is to produce a new breed of enlightened citizens committed and devoted to the National cause willing to sacrifice for the country.
