Lake Albert floods overwhelm Butiaba health facility in Buliisa, shifts to Butiaba Primary School.

Following the overwhelming of Lake Albert floods in Buliisa district, Butiaba Health Center III have been temporary shifted to Butiaba Primary School.

Speaking to our reporter this afternoon, the DHO Dr. Mugabe Robert explained that the shifting process started over the weekend and on Monday they started offering health services including Immunization, TASO, family planning, laboratory at Butiaba Primary School.

The specialist explains that they are only targeting to remain with inpatient services at the health facility; in case floods persist they will shift all services to the school.

Dr. Mugabe has appealed to pregnant mothers to use the route through Butiaba Primary School to the facility since there is no flooding water. He also appeals to community to remain cooperative.
