Masindi High Court Adjourns 2019 Hoima by-election case

Masindi High Court has Thursday adjourned hearing 2019 Hoima by-election case to 18th August 2020. This follows after the ruling judge and Businge Harriet the Woman MP Hoima didn’t turn up. The reason(s) for not turning up has not been disclosed.
Asinasi Nyakato the former Hoima woman MP Aspirant filed a case petitioning Businge Harriet the woman MP Hoima district for defrauding elections.

While addressing journalists this morning out side the court, Asinasi Nyakato the Aspiring Woman MP Hoima Oil City said that Court is suppose to deliver free and fair hearing. She also adds, Electoral Commission is mandated to ensure free and fair elections, but what happened in Hoima was contrary.
The politician has encouraged the public to remain strong and be sure for the change because they have enough evidence. We should come up and stand for our rights. She has also appealed to people of Hoima to support her in the forthcoming 2021 elections because she believes in transparence.
Ismail Kasule the Aspiring MP Hoima West told journalists that they are positioning themselves for the forthcoming elections to fill all the spaces in order to kick NRM out of Bunyoro. He has therefore appealed to Hoima residents to continue supporting oppositions for better Bunyoro.
