Kansiime Peace the ONC Assistant Coordinator Greater Bushenyi, visited Kyeizooba Health Centre III in Kyeizooba Sub county, Bushenyi District, on her way to observe the health status of Health Centres in the Region.

She was welcomed by Ms. Nimusiima Patience a Records keeper, and Ms. Kirabo Jackline Lab Technician.

They took her through the store and discovered that they last received drugs on 19th December last year.

She went on to Maternity ward where she found the Ass. Nursing Officers/ Midwifery Madam Natukunda Allen and Ayebazibwe Harriet who were busy attending to the pregnant mothers.

They also narrated to her about the challenges they face during their line of work including the scarcity of HIV testing Kits, glucose strips for Diabetics and blankets in the maternity ward.

“We also find it hard to attend to the expectant mothers without Ferrous and Folic acid, which put our lives in danger but nothing to do” they added.

The Ass. In-charge/Clinical Officer Mr. Owomukama Remus pleaded to NMS to do help them get required Drugs in time.

The expectant mothers were happy to see that their president sent a team to go on ground and find out the challenges they are facing and asked him to task the line ministry to deliver drugs to them.
