Presidential address did not Tackle Districts which are still in Lockdown- Buliisa residents are unhappy with President Museveni

On Tuesday night, residents of Buliisa district were left angry after the presidential address on corona virus. They expected the president to lift lockdown in the district since the corona virus case recovered and the contacts tested negative.
Muhangi Denis a resident of Wanseko in Kigwera Sub County says that there was no need for the president to leave Buliisa in lockdown since other neighboring district were lifted. He has therefore appealed to the president to lift lockdown in the district since all their businesses have paralyzed.
Muteranizi Ivan a welder at Bajjo Metal Works Butiaba says that there was no need to leave Buliisa in lockdown since other districts were lifted. “If boda bodas are allowed to carry passengers why couldn’t he also allow vehicles to carry half of passengers like in other districts.” He adds.

Ivan also adds that they are encountering challenges in transportation of materials and market for the products since the district is in lockdown.
According to Alinaitwe Sedrick a resident of Garasoya village Kihungya Sub County, president Museveni gets much support from Buliisa and he could use this opportunity to lift lockdown in the district.
When contacted on a phone call, the RDC Buliisa district Amos Asiimwe told Buliisa News Room that it’s only the President who can lift lockdown in any given district, he therefore appealed to residents to be patient enough till the president will lift the lockdown.
