From the analytical point of view, there is nothing as good in life as following individual dreams and aspirations especially when it is a divine and Godly given talent and calling. Uganda’s goal talisman and football icon Farouk Miya is no exception.
The tales of mastering the art of playing football to a Ugandan star Farouk Miya is incomplete without reminiscing the player’s grand days in the Buganda’s annual football tournament in Masaza Cup that breathed into life as early as 2004 thanks to the visionary agenda of Buganda’s King Ronald Mutebi (11).
\
Farouk Miya is a renowned figure in Ugandan football and his introduction onto the global scene was when he enjoyed his maiden debut as a footballer in the Mawokota County team during the glorious days of coach Edward Golola.
As for this opinion to run-off the pen and put all the player’s autobiography on paper and on your computer or smartphone on which you’re reading it now; it took momentary days of arranging and talking with the goal talisman in engaging talks for this write-up to come to reality.
First; hooking up with the player along Kitende Suburbs in Kampala, also the capital City of Uganda as the player was as early as a lively bird to attend personal football trainings with his smiling brother Araphat as they journey towards St Mary’s Stadium Kitende in his lavishing Range Rover Vogue car proving well doubters that sports is a productive sector and professional football playing relatively pays off dividends thus far.
Miya is as brave as a golden goose; healthy and fit like a fiddle but what is evidently clear in his placid smile and lightening eyes is that the player has enjoyed his purpose and lived onto the dream of emerging as the historical footballer most importantly featuring in the National team; Cranes and the cards are against the European teams prying their trade in English Premier League to tie the knot and move home with the signatory of the Uganda’s goal talisman Farouk Miya.
Miya is formidably a player of all seasons and when he scored the only goal that took Uganda back to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following 39-years-jinx of not participating in the tourney against Mali in 2017; the future was deemed to be bright for the Cranes. Yes, it was a heroic goal. Fantastic!
The story of Miya is incomplete without the humble beginnings of playing soccer in SC Vipers also the St Mary’s stadium, Kitende based team which he scored twenty goals in the forty-nine games he played for the latter owned by sports merchant in Dr. Lawrence, Mulindwa.
It takes time, energy and resilience of a Ugandan footballer to walk his way into European football teams yet still; Miya defied all odds to become a rigorous star much credit for his striking abilities and movements in air while exercising his talent as a footballer.
It is evidently clear that Miya’s deeds as a footballer are whimsical and evidently all over the wall in the African continent and the passion the latter has exercised in all aspects of sportsmanship and improving on his training abilities have proved many doubters wrong.
He has passionately and fanatically fared well with his scoring abilities both at the National team the Cranes where he netted twenty-three goals in seventy-nine games played and his recent international team; Çaykur Rizespor football club which has emphatically made him an outstanding footballer on the African continent.
To be frank, Miya’s footballing abilities and timely ways of adhering to the days football training agenda have all made him a star in his youthful days.
It is the basis of believing in what he understands better; scoring goals and Miya didn’t ponder on looking for other professional opportunities rather chose playing football and it has paid-off dividends to him thus far.
It is a good and functional lesson for a Ugandan footballer to follow his dream in all spheres of life and Miya has made up his mind in being a mindful and responsible footballer.
The mindful yet a responsible footballer of all seasons; Miya has radically been a formidable umbrella in uniting fellow players at the National team the Cranes and faring well into Ugandan football setting have all made him prosperous.
The philosophy of mastering the art of scoring goals comes with the emphasis of practicing new football techniques regularly and honoring the tutor’s instructions altogether and Miya has not disappointed in effecting all into practice thus far.
What is emphatically true and mind boggling about Miya is that he has been a player with great reputation and inspiration due to his craftiness and ability to resonate well with fellow footballers irrespective of their humble background.
It is football playing that has given Miya, the mother and his family members life, joy and trust to live a purposeful meaning in life irrespective of the impediments that flow along the way in life as a professional footballer.
Miya has coherently changed the narrative of a traditional footballer into a formidable face of rising stars of footballers on the African Continent.
A very disciplined footballer, a good timekeeper manager and passionate at learning and mastering new skills every day, Miya remains a footballer of all seasons.
The dynamite in scoring lethal goals and covering up the void on the striking line, Miya has maintained his momentum in scoring goals and remains as fast as lightning to convert the ball into the net and always run head over heels to perfect his craft in scoring.
That says, teams in European league; Germany Bundesliga, and premier league teams ‘ why not’ such as Arsenal the Gunners to mention but a few should focus on recruiting talents such as Miya from African Continent in their scoring ranks to keep their trophy gallery fascinating and the player’s future and dreams of playing soccer in European teams alive.
