Davis. K. Lukyamuzi: Will there be a Crash at PLU?

PLU and it’s offices. As matters of administration unfolds each day, fans/supporters of PLU are crashing each other on where to pay allegiance.

Just a week or weeks, the internal reshuffle at Naguru left some of us in celebrations and others in tears.

We got a new GS to replace an old SG, Yes am still searching for the right difference between a Secretary General and a General Secretary.

A certain CC member was dropped and he is still hanging around Uganda as PO number holder but out of the CC boardroom.

Am coming to realize that the PLC Supreme leader is a modern rebel who mastered his tacts by playing with people psychology a rare (Master piece)

As big officers were eating each other through media, he still calls them his strong friends and allies a shock absorber tacts of keeping nemesis close to each other.

As the big table stops shaking, we the backing dogs lose direction to where we must pay full respect.

On the Handover of or call it change of office bearers celebrations, some of us had started singing songs of happiness for a Tiger’s death and had started seeing accusation of lack of accountability from the SG, suspicion that he ran away from the function, he was shy, he is guilty and many more.. them Bang he is made the incahrge of the Supreme head of the Chairman’s Office.

Alas, all noise silent why? The tiger is back.

In Europe, political party members are well registered and their membership and subscribed other than being wishful members as it is in NRM where almost all Ugandans are in the Yellow book which gives the party poor planing during election to which it emanates poor election results.

PLU has started on the right note but giving Patriotic Numbers but my prayers are that members for PLU must subscribe with some money to become real members at heart- just suggestion.

Back to the now two big offices to run the Patriotic League affairs, it will depend on how much the bearers will brand, promote them towards supporters because, Hon Kabanda seems to have magnetic charm to issues and am scared that many people may run to his office and forget the Secretariat.

Such instances have been seen from NRM where Kyambogo looked more popular than Kyadondo.

It’s all about creativity, people and situation analysis handling.

To the new GS, you must create activities that unify the PLU flock, manage errant characters, listen but judge strongly, minimise the off excitements and expectation since many of us think you are the one God sent with our manna.

From the Kabanda office, I expect pomp, aura, power, directives and excitements however, we must all look at the end point results.

Naguru should concentrate on ideology building, membership or cadre identification, structure building, people character alignment and popularising the League other than harbouring of indispline that has started at the office.

To the fans/supporters or foot bigere as commonly known, this is a high toll duty to accept changes and respect them. Maligning of CC members due to hate influence will not derail the League growth but your individual growth.
