A Woman in Buliisa Bewitch her Co-Wife to Death

On Monday evening there was a drama in Masaka village, Wanseko Parish Kigwera Sub County in Buliisa district as a woman only identified as Rojje allegedly bewitched her co- wife to death. According to the reliable sources, the duo had poor relationship for a long time.

Reliable sources also say that the deceased was once admitted at Buliisa General Hospital, and when they diagnosed her, they didn’t find any sickness and later she was referred to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital for further attention and treatment but all in vain.

On Monday morning while in efforts to save her life, she instantly died while on way to Angali Hospital. This forced the family members to organize for a brief meeting over the cause of the death.

According to eye witness who chose anonymity, when the suspect was called for the meeting, she replied that she was busy attending to her fishermen, due to the anger, the clan members beat her up and when she tried to practice her witchcraft, the deceased chock once as if she was coming to life.

And when people continued to beat her, she said that they was many who are involved in the cause. In the course of the drama, police arrived and rescued her by dispatching the crowd with teargas and live bullets.

Speaking to Buliisa News Room, Mr. Bagonza the area chairperson said that he heard rumours that before falling sickly, the puppy leaked the legs of the deceased for a week, and she didn’t tell the husband.

“I couldn’t believe that she passed on since she has been well and healthy”, Mr. Bagonza adds.
Currently, the suspect is in custody at Buliisa CPS.
