Hundreds of Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom Subjects in Bugerere Welcomed Him in Big Numbers

Hundreds of Kabaka subjects turned up in big number to welcome in his county of Bugerere which is in Kayunga district.

Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II arrived in Kayunga around mid day and was welcomed by Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga at Ssezibwa bridge which is boundary of Bugerere and Kyaggwe.

From here he proceeded to Galiraya sub county at Kawongo landing site on Lake Kyoga were they had organized a health camp.

While addressing his subjects at Ntimba primary School at around 2:50pm he appreciated people of Bugerere of welcome him in big numbers and he urged them to take care of their children, immunize and educate them.

The Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga while addressing the people of Galiraya he asked them to stop tribe bickering which is common in this district.

Mayiga informed them that as Buganda Kingdom they don’t know Kimeze Baker as a culture leader in this area and he showed them the true culture leader Namuyonjo who was also present at the function.

This year central government of Uganda tried to rush to Kayunga to solve the culture leader issue in Kayunga but this didn’t take place before the visit of Kabaka in Bugerere.

The meeting was supposed to be held at Kayunga district head quarters chaired by state minister of Gender and Culture Affairs Peace Muutuzo Regis.

Buganda officials on that day turned up and Namuyonjo who is opposing Baker Kimeza as a culture leader in Kayunga district.

Unfortunately minister Muutuzo and Baker Kimeze didn’t turn up on that fateful day and the meeting was postponed in July this year but the date was not communicated.
